Gombe State Internal Revenue Service (GIRS) has generated over 13 billion Naira for the state in the previous year, 2023.
This was disclosed in a statement signed and made available to Amana Radio by the Head, Corporate Communications Gombe State Internal Revenue Service (GIRS) Faruk Muazu Gombe, titled “2024 New Year Greetings”.
The statement said “Your contributions to taxation have made it possible for the commendable results recorded in the year 2023 of over 13 billion Naira, despite the challenges posed by the economic crisis experienced in the country”.
The service appreciated tax payers for diligently discharging their civic responsibility.
“We thank all our esteemed tax payers for your compliance towards meeting your civic obligations and working with us to support the state government in moving the state to greater heights”.
The service expressed confidence that the year 2024 will be super progressive and productive, having utmost trust in tax payers unwavering compliance.
“Gombe State is ours, and so it becomes our collective responsibility to build it”, the statement added.

Faruk Gombe added that the management of Gombe State Internal Revenue Service on behalf of its entire staff, wishes to extend warm greetings and welcome the general public to the new year, 2024.
