Members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Lame district in Toro local government has applauded the state governor for executing people oriented projects in the area that has direct bearing to the communities.
The Lame Chairman of the association Reverend Ezekiel G. Damisa made the commendation in an interdenominational meeting held at the district head palace Gumau, Lame district.
Reverend Ezekiel Damisa mentioned some road projects executed by the present administration to include the reconstruction of Magama-Gumau, Rishi to Tulai as well as the recently awarded contract for the construction of Geljaule to Lame among others.
The Chairman who read from the book of Filipinas chapter two verse one describe the interdenominational meeting as an example of Christian togetherness, and total believers to the God who received Jesus Christ as their personal savior, hence he called for more unity and understanding to pave way for peace, love, tolerance and oneness among all members of the community to enhance speedy development.
Reverend Ezekiel Damisa lamented on the increased land dispute and farmers and herder crises in the area, appealed to the governments at all level intervene towards addressing the problem.
Responding, the District Head of Lame, Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu represented by Ardon Wonu Alhaji Abubakar Buhari, appreciated members of the CAN for the visit and promised to work hand in hand with the association.
Alhaji Aliyu Yakubu Lame urged members of the association to remain calm and be law abiding citizens.
