Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on Wednesday, paid a condolence visit to Alhaji Haruna Mamuda Gadam over the demise of his son, Dr. Sagir Haruna Mamuda who died recently in Lagos after a protracted illness.
In his remarks during the condolence visit, Governor Inuwa Yahaya noted that losing a biological child is one of the devastating moments for every parent, lamenting that the demise of Dr. Sagir, a medical doctor, is a huge loss, not only for his family, but Gombe State in general.
“This is a difficult moment for every parent to bear, but as Muslims, his demise should not make us forget that every soul must taste death as ordained by Allah (SWT)”.
“I want to use this medium, on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members over this huge loss. We pray Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus, and give the entire Haruna Mamuda family the fortitude to bear the great loss”.
The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Chief of Staff Government House, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Hon Commissioners and other government functionaries as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
