The Gombe State ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Sani Adamu Jauro has stressed the project’s readiness to work with non-state actors and form strong partnerships for the integration and seamless implementation of project activities in the state.
Sani Adamu Jauro stated this when he received members of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in his office on an advocacy visit.
He said that the objective of the ACReSAL project is in line with the policy thrust of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of restoring degraded land through massive tree planting and building community climate resilience to improve the lives of the citizens.
He enjoined the non-governmental organizations to support the implementation of project activities in their areas of focus.
While marking remarks earlier, the Gombe State Co-chair of the OGP, Dr. Bachama Yusuf the organization aimed to make government more open, accountable, and responsive to the citizens.
He commended the ACReSAL Project for recording milestones through its community-driven approach and emphasized the need to strengthen and blend climate-friendly traditional practices among the communities.
